COCAINE

Most cocaine addicts are often unable to stop using the drug on their own, there is a tremendous need for addiction treatment programs to help them overcome their addiction. Cocaine abuse rehabilitation centers provide comprehensive care that addresses the physical and psychological addiction to this potentially deadly drug.

According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), cocaine is a very powerful stimulant that comes in both powder and rock form. Therapy has been shown to be the most effective way to successfully treat cocaine addiction.

There are a number of different types of cocaine abuse rehab options currently available throughout the United States. The two primary styles of treatment are residential and outpatient rehab.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF COCAINE ABUSE:

•Residential cocaine rehabilitation- with these programs, the individual moves into the treatment center so they may receive 24/7 care from addiction treatment professionals. Residential rehab is ideal for those individuals who live in an environment that contributes to their cocaine use. The treatment center is a place for these men and women to get away from it all and live in a place for a month or longer that is warm, supportive and completely devoted to their recovery from cocaine addiction.

•Outpatient cocaine rehabilitation- many individuals are simply unable to put their lives on hold so they can enter a residential addiction treatment program. For these men and women, outpatient cocaine rehab is an appealing alternative, as the addict can attend treatment sessions during the day, but then return home in the evening. The individual must be able to maintain sobriety at home or when not in counseling in order for this style of program to work.
